The simplest way of decorating is by adding color, it changes the mood of the room. We have seen the rise of bold colors over the last decade; we are gladly incorporating colors in our homes now. I’m calling this decade the bold & the great decade. Blue is the new white, it’s the new black, it’s the new brown and it’s the new orange (we Kenyans love our orange on the wall). Blue is one of those colors you love, you probably have more than five items in blue in your wardrobe but having it in your living room has become calculus. Is it too much? Is it clashing with the other colors in the living room? Is it bright enough? Worry not, you will rock blue in your home very soon. Take a look at easy ways of decorating with this fabulous color.

  1. Accent wall

Go big or go bigger. That’s what blue does to you. Instead of just having bits and pieces of it, why don’t you go all out and color your wall. Your accent wall is the wall with the all the items you love now have blue behind all that feature drama, your home will never be the same again.

Arm chair

  1. Accent chairs

Victorian chairs , arm chairs, wing back chairs, accent chairs, any type of side chairs will look great in blue. A neutral colored living room blends excellently with blue, a bold colored living room blends magnificently with blue so either way blue will rock your home.

Accesories

  1. Accessories

Accessorize with blue, you will not regret it. The best thing about hues and shades of blue is every color blends. Who said blue is only for the wall, we can have our blue on our shelves, cabinets, console tables and the list goes on and on.  You can have a blue back-splash using blue sculptures and blue vases as well. You love blue? Two words, try it!
