Your bedroom or your bed space is one very important space in your home. Let’s just agree that there’s a lot of rest and reading and pleasure and fabulousity in the bedroom. You sleep in that room, you read from that room, you dress from that room and do a whole lot of things from that room, things that refresh you and make you look forward to getting back home. So that same space should reflect your personality and what you love. I love neutrals so when I got a chance to work with a client that feels the same way I went all out with hues of brown and grey.
Brown being our dominant color, I selected a walnut bed for this bedroom. It’s a queen size bed with two beautiful side cabinets with metallic knobs; absolutely beautiful. Loved the look and as soon as I dressed the bed with grey bedding that was it. Half of my work was done; the bed was giving this luxury hotel vibes.
- Bedside cabinets
You can never go wrong with metallic. The walnut bed came with the two lovely bedside cabinets. They have this silver matte metallic knob that also gives a luxe look. Match made in heaven.
- Champagne Gold
I love, love, love the curtains. Champagne never disappoints. I wanted a pop of shimmer in this bedroom and a perfect combination of matte walls and glossy curtains brought that out.
Painting is the simplest way of decorating. I went with brown paint for the accent wall; painting an accent wall updates your room immediately. It highlights the bedroom and gives it a new style. All hail to color brown.
- Statement mirror
‘It’s not complete if it doesn’t have a statement accessory.’ said Beatrice. It only takes you and the accessory you like to change a room from plain to lovely. Painting the walls will make a difference, getting an accessory for the wall will make the difference. I was deliberating on working with a mirror or a nature wall art because brown is an earth tone color but I chose to work with a mirror because I wanted a modern look. Best. Decision. Ever. That mirror was made for that bedroom.
You know I love my copper interiors; a copper light fixture is the perfect finish for a neutral bedroom. It gives the room a chic finish.
Hugs & Kisses,
Plants are bae, no doubt about it. They bring this cool, chic vibes in a space. They are what I call game changers in a room. One minute you have your usual room, another minute you have a lovely refreshing space all thanks to some plants. Faux or real the look is amazing, the feel is great and the mood is a mood. If you are big on nature, bring mother-nature home, if you know the plants will die within a week, bring your faux plants on. It’s okay, just bring green home. So plants are one thing, styling them is another thing. Today you get to see how to style your beautiful plants, it’s cheap, it’s chic and it’s cool.
I’m crazy about centrepieces, they are what I call show stoppers. Your show stopper is the one thing that brings the va va voom factor. It’s the one thing that your visitors compliment over and over again. You can have your show stopper anywhere in your home, today I’ll be taking you through the dining table show stopper. A dining table needs a catch and a centrepiece is a jackpot catch, I hope you’ll grab yourself a show stopper after this post. It’s a need 😉
Glass vases are like a lovely skirt you look at online, you admire it but you don’t get it for one main reason you don’t know what to wear with it. Same thing goes to glass vases, good to look at but a bit of an issue to style them well that dilemma comes to an end today. The glass vase will no longer be plain Penny it will be a centerpiece in your home so let’s get right into it.
It’s always fun to shop for a sofa until you love about 3 different options and you can only take one home. Been there, I had to mix and match there was no way I was leaving the store without the two types of sofa I liked. I was lucky that the sofa set could be sold separately; I loved the styles in both. One sofa was giving me mid century vibes and another one was giving me contemporary chic vibes so I took them both. Mixing styles is fine; I do it all the time, if I love it then good bye interior rule book and hello Bold Beatrice. I’ll show you my all time favorite sofa styles that I bet you will love so next time you’re shopping for a sofa; you’ll have an idea of what style it is.
I have always had a major crush on metallics. I mean, why not? They will transform any room from ordinary to fabulous. You don’t even require a lot of these metallics, a few knick knacks and bam! There goes your chic living room. I am big on gold but copper is slowly creeping in as my favorite. It’s like a gold and rose gold baby; it’s undeniably a lovely look to have in your home. Let me show you ways you can use copper elements, this eye candy will never disappoint you.
